Bühler Seenachtsfest 2027 on the Großer Alpsee: date & fireworks

Events6 min read

The 2027 Bühler Seenachtsfest – the lakeside summer night festival in Bühl – is expected to take place on Saturday 31 July 2027, from 6 pm at the festival ground in Bühl on the Großer Alpsee. A balmy summer evening by the lake, live music drifting across the water and, to finish, a fireworks display set to music whose glowing shapes are reflected in the lake. Here you will find the date and programme, a look back at 2026 and our tips on where to stay just a few minutes from the festival ground.

When is the Bühler Seenachtsfest in 2027?

The Seenachtsfest has a fixed place in the calendar: always on the last Saturday in July. In 2027 that is 31 July. The town of Immenstadt has yet to announce the date officially; as soon as it does, you will find it here. Things get going from 6 pm at the festival ground on the eastern shore of the Großer Alpsee in Bühl, a district of Immenstadt. The fireworks start after dark.

Looking back: the Seenachtsfest 2026

In 2026 the festival took place on Saturday 25 July. From 6 pm the Spätzünder and the party brass band BockStark played, joined by the traditional costume society GTEV Edelweiß, the Dynamic Dance Cooperation and the DJs mhochzwei and Foley. New was the kitchen with vegetarian dishes. The highlight, as every year: the fireworks set to music, with glowing shapes rising over the lake in time to the music. The festival is organised by the Musikkapelle Bühl am Alpsee brass band.

The year before, the weather did not play along: in 2025 the Seenachtsfest had to be cancelled, and there is never an alternative date. That made the anticipation in 2026 all the greater.

Programme, admission and getting there

  • In the early evening the festival ground on the eastern shore opens, with live music and DJs on stage.
  • Admission: in 2026 reduced in the early evening and free for accompanied children; the organiser will publish the rules for 2027 in good time. Under-16s only with a parent or guardian.
  • After dark: fireworks set to music over the Großer Alpsee.
  • Shuttle bus between Immenstadt bus station and Bühl, running late into the night on the festival evening.
  • In bad weather the festival is cancelled without a replacement date.

The Großer Alpsee as a backdrop

Covering around 247 hectares, the Großer Alpsee is the largest natural lake in the Allgäu. Framed by the Nagelfluhkette and the Grünten, the fireworks are reflected in the water. During the day you can swim at the Strandbad Bühl lido, head out on a SUP or stroll along the shore, then move straight on to the festival in the evening.
