Group Holidays in the Allgäu: Which House for 10, 12 or 25 People?
A group holiday in the Allgäu works best when each smaller party has its own retreat while you can still easily get together. That is exactly why several holiday apartments under one roof are better than one big dormitory: your own kitchen, your own bathroom, short distances.
Allgäu Living has three houses ready for you in the Oberallgäu – for ten, twelve or up to twenty-six people. Here we explain which house suits which group size, how to combine the apartments and what works well for family reunions, groups of friends or club trips.
Which house for which group size?
Up to 10 people: the Haus am Kästobel in Immenstadt, with the Alpin Loft (up to 6) and the Maisonette Stüble (up to 4), accommodates ten guests. Centrally located, within walking distance of the station, with an electric car charging point at the house. If you would like more room to spare, take a look at Auszeit Imberg or the Alpenhaus – both are listed on the same overview page.
Up to 12 people: Auszeit Imberg in Sonthofen offers Nest (2), Licht (6) and Zeit (4) in the quiet district of Imberg. Mountain views, a balcony or garden, hiking trails right outside the front door. Dogs are not permitted in these three apartments; in that case the Alpenhaus is the better choice.
15 to 26 people: only the Alpenhaus in Blaichach can accommodate large groups. Five holiday apartments (Alpenhaus Grünten, Stuiben and Mittag for 6 each, Bärenköpfle and 2 for 4 each) add up to 26 places. Sauna in the house, dogs welcome in all apartments, parking right by the building.

How to book several apartments at once
On the pages for 10, 12 and 15 to 26 people you choose the house, number of guests and travel dates. You can see straight away which apartments are available, add them to a basket and pay for everything in a single payment – commission-free, directly with us. Either the booking goes through for all apartments or for none, and each apartment gets its own self check-in. We are happy to answer questions about putting your booking together on +49 157 92478155.
Each apartment costs the same as it would if booked on its own; you see the total price before you pay. Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival applies to all bookings. For large groups especially, it pays to plan early for the summer holidays, Christmas and the carnival season (Fasching).
Days out that work for groups
Short distances and something for every age: from Immenstadt you can reach the Großer Alpsee, the Alpsee Bergwelt with its coaster and high-ropes course, and easy walks up the Mittag. From Sonthofen and Blaichach, the Hörnerbahn, the Iller cycle path and the valleys of the Oberallgäu are quickly reached.
With us, every person receives the Allgäu-Walser-Pass – with its discounts and leisure offers in the region, it is particularly worthwhile for large groups. More ideas can be found under Holidays in the Allgäu and in the overview of places to visit.
When is the most relaxed time for groups to travel?
July and August are busy and get booked up early. If you are flexible, you will often find more peace and available apartments in June, September and the autumn weeks. A winter holiday with a group works well if you combine ski areas with a holiday apartment with a sauna – in the Alpenhaus the sauna is there for all guests in the house. The article on the best time to visit the Allgäu gives a month-by-month overview.
